120W Power inverter

This Circuit Design is one of the most cheapest inverter i ever had. its containing a square wave design using a 555 as a timer, and a 7404 to provide alternating pulses for the transformer windings. The 2SD880s and 2N3055s work as a Darlington pair to amplify the signals coming from the logic chip, and the 2N3055 do the hard work of switching the current. They are rated at 15A max, 10A is a safe operating value, that gives around 120W of power at 12V. They should be mounted on proper heatsinks with proper electrical isolation (the collector is the transistor's body).



Take Note:


naay kulang sa diagram nga two protection diodes. kng wla na xang duha ka diode it can cause na madaot ang emng power transistor after a few seconds of operation. kanang two diodes kay itaod ninyo between sa ground ug sa collector terminal sa 2N3055's both side, in reverse, so they normally won't conduct.

connect pin6 and pin2
connect pin8 and pin4
resistor 150k on pin8 and pin7
resistor 1K on pin7 and pin6
